For Brian Michaels’ staging of Aristophanes Lysistrata as part of the Festival Capital of Culture Pafos, Cyprus at the Archaeological Park there, songs and instrumentals were created as theatrical music of the scenic performance by 12 actresses from North and South Cyprus, Sao Paolo, Brazil and Lagos, Nigeria. The instrumental ensemble, featuring electric guitar, double bass, trombone and vocals, consisted of graduates of the Jazz Institute of the Folkwang University of the Arts, Essen.
